As June fades and Pride month closes, I take this time to thank all of my readers and patrons. We’re nearly at 70 copies sold; believe me, I didn’t buy them all. I’ve also gotten some reviews as well.
It is nice to see organic rating at its finest.
My mystery novel is coming along as well. This has been a dream of mine since I was in the 8th grade. I remember sitting in Ms. Towe’s English classroom, reading Black Coffee, when our paraprofessional, Mrs. Fordyce, asked if I had read Agatha Christie. She also taught me how to pronounce Hercule Poirot’s name. It’s funny how memories stick with you. Mrs. Fordyce has always been a great friend of mine since I left that classroom… so many years ago.
With the working title of Who DID It?, I’m writing easily. I know where the story is going, and I feel that I know how to get there. I’m currently at 22k words, which feels like a lot, but there is a lot of backstory going into it as well.
My goal for this month is to get all the evidence out of my head and onto the page. It sounds simple, but it’s not. Writing isn’t easy, but I’m trying to make the best of it. I’m hoping to make it to 50k words by July 31st.
The only thing that I can keep doing is trucking on.
