Hello all readers!
This week was a little hectic. I really wish that I can say I met my goal from last week to reach 20k words, but it doesn’t look like it for this week. But writing is writing.
Have you ever had a week where one thing threw a major kink into your schedule and then ruined the majority of your week? Hi, it’s me. I’m the drama.
This past week, work has made it a little difficult to get some writing in. But, I was able to write more than I would have if I didn’t push myself. So many writers have one rule, and that is to sit down and write. As long as I am doing that, I shouldn’t have a problem finishing this novel by this year.
By the end of the day, I will have finished writing chapter 5 and start editing what I have already written. Hopefully, by next week, I can share an excerpt with my following audience and give them a taste of what is to come. I should also think about posting some other excerpts from my other novels in work. Perhaps midweek, I will post an excerpt from the very first novel I wrote.
Please let me know if you’re interested in reading more of my work. I noticed this week, Summer Heat has sold 75 physical copies. I hope that I can reach a bigger audience with fantasy. I want my work read, and I want others to enjoy it. Just knowing I am 25 copies away from 100 is exciting.
If you have read either The Runner, When the Bough Breaks, or Summer Heat please leave a review on Amazon. The reviews do go a long way. It helps others who are looking for a book to read in that particular genre.
Alas, I did make it to 15k, so my goal for next week will be 20k. I’m off to a good start. Let’s hope I can finish this before November, so I can start the sequel for NANOWRIMO.
Take care and have a wonderful week.
